The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 21BCC000017 to recognize funds in the amount of $419,458 from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health Epidemiology/Communicable Disease Branch.
These funds are to be used to enhance laboratory testing capacity, increase workforce by hiring temp staff, support epidemiology/surveillance activities and expand informatics.
Please note that this amendment requires no additional County funds.
The Board of Health has approved this amendment.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This grant aligns with Strategic Goal 2: Health and Well-being for All by providing more resources for COVID-19.
