The Board is requested to proclaim September as National Preparedness Month (<https://www.ready.gov/september>).

 

National Preparedness Month is recognized each September to promote family and community disaster and emergency planning now and throughout the year. The 2020 overarching theme is “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today.” Residents of Durham County can use this opportunity to join citizens around the United States in preparing their homes, businesses, and communities for any type of emergency, including natural and manmade disasters.
