The Board is requested to appoint Rod Jenkins, Public Health Director, to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council’s “Local Health Director or Designee” position-a designated position on the council. The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) reviews the needs of Durham juveniles who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated, undisciplined, or delinquent, review and evaluate the resources available to address those needs, develop and implement a request for proposals process, and submit a written plan of action for the expenditure of juvenile sanction and prevention funds to the Durham Board of County Commissioners for its approval.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board appoint Rod Jenkins to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
