Agenda Text

The Board is requested to approve and authorize the County Manager to execute a 3-year contract with ePLUS Technology Inc. for a data security platform for the Sheriff’s Office. This software provides an additional layer of security for the agency, which currently doesn’t exist. This is an effort to make improvements in Information Technology for the Sheriff’s Office after observing the devastating impacts of the malware attack with the County. The Varonis system is a data protection platform, that identifies security holes, and assists in mitigating those deficiencies. This system also provides data classification and compliance that aligns with CJIS.

Funding has been identified for the first year of this contract. No additional spending authority is requested.

Alignment with Strategic Plan: This item aligns with Strategic Goal 5: Visionary Government
